Common motor types are: stepper motors, DC brushed motors, DC brushless motors, AC brushless motors, servo motors, etc.

What is a brushed motor?

When the motor is working, the coil and commutator rotate, the magnetic steel and carbon brushes do not rotate, and the alternating change of the coil current direction is accomplished by the commutator and carbon brush that rotates with the motor. The strength of a brushed motor is greater than that of a brushless motor, with fewer wires, so a positive and negative and a negative wire. If the motor is reversed, just reverse the positions of the two wires and you can complete it. In the electric vehicle industry, there are high-speed brush motors and low-speed brush motors. There are many differences between brushed motors and brushless motors. The easiest way to distinguish them is: brushed motors have carbon brushes, and brushless motors do not have carbon brushes. However, the brush motor is relatively noisy, and the brush motor has been basically eliminated.

What is a brushless motor?

The brushless motor uses the controller to provide direct current in different current directions to achieve the alternating change of the coil current direction in the motor. There are no carbon brushes and inverters between the rotor and stator of the brushless motor.

Internal structure of brushless motor

DC power is supplied to the stator winding of the motor through the switching circuit. Three position sensors (commonly known as Hall) detect the position of the rotor at any time, and control the on and off of the six switching tubes according to the position signal of the rotor, thereby automatically It controls which winding is energized, and the direction of energization, thereby achieving electronic commutation.

DC brushless motor is one of the most widely used motors in mechanical equipments at present. It is widely used by various mechanical equipments because of its long life, relatively simple structure, and no noise. The brushless motor has 60-degree, 120-degree, and 180-degree angles, and the controller angle should also match it. Configure brushless motor driver control and motor to work normally.

Brushless motor main phase line

The DC brushless motor has eight wires, which are three main phase wires thick yellow, thick green, thick blue and 5 thin wires. They are thin red lines, thin black lines, thin green lines, thin yellow lines, thin blue lines, etc. Can be detected by digital multimeter (power on to detect whether the motor is faulty.
