MISSION CONTROL: For four years Ground Zero Festival has been recognized as one of the highlights of the European festival season. Hundreds of
artists and thousands of party people travel from all over the world to Bussloo. Here they will celebrate their unrelenting love for the harder styles of dance music together during one unforgettable night.
During the last few weeks a lot of rumors were circulating that Ground Zero Festival was finished. Source of this was an article in local newspaper De Stentor which stated that the municipality would revoke the license for Ground Zero after complaints of another festival on the same location. Would the Netherlands lose this night outdoor festival?
Of course not!
Ground Zero Festival 2010 is still on in Bussloo!
The municipality of Voorst announced on Monday in an almost unanimous decision that they prefer an event like Ground Zero more than a three- or four day event like Xnoizz. An important decision for UDC because the municipality will only allow after 2010 only one all-night event and is currently working on improving the guidelines for events at the Bussloo area. The municipality let organizer UDC know that Ground Zero belongs on Bussloo and should stay there.
So on 3 July 2010 the 5th edition of Ground Zero Festival will take off like never before, starting at 21.00 hours at night till 07.00 hours the following morning.
Ticket sale for Ground Zero Festival 2010 will start soon. When exactly will be revealed at the Ground Zero Festival online headquarters: www.groundzerofestival.com.
