Rising Star London Based Trance DJ, Producer Mat Lock

London based dj Mat Lock has been establishing an extensive career in the London, UK and worldwide trance scene since 2005. Starting his playing career on the legendary web radio station Trance Airwaves in 2003. Mat Lock first made his club dj debut when he entered the Heat UK DJ Competition and beat off the competition to take 1st place and the prize to play at their Heat UK South West Four Launch Party. A successful debut set then followed with several more dj bookings from other big promotions in the UK. 3 years on Mat Lock has regularly played alongside some of the biggest rising and established stars in the UK & global trance scene at some of the best venues the world has to offer.

Mat Lock has also continued to play regular radio shows on web radio over the past 3 years at ETN.FM and then on Danceradio.gr. His commitment to allowing new djs to showcase their music talents on his radio show has always been important to Mat Lock and nearly all of his guest djs and producers have gone on to make their mark in the scene.

2007 also saw Mat Lock enter the world of production, working in the studio with Luke Warner who has also been a dj and producer in the UK trance and hard dance scene.

Their first production, Deep Psychosis, was signed to DJSA Records and was released on 10th December 2007. The track has seen a remix produced by several artists including the famous Daniel Kandi as part of the release. The track had been championed by the World’s number 1 dj Armin van Buuren on his A State Of Trance radio show and won the Tune Of The Week and Future Favorite in successive weeks. The track remix has now featured on Armin’s ASOT Yearmix 2008 double CD Compilation and also Armin Only – Armin’s DVD video of his Armin Only night from Holland in 2008.

Their second production, Catching Dreams – Timeless (CC Anthem 2007) (Luke Warner & Mat Lock Remix) was a track that was entered into a competition that was held on the website CrystalClouds.com.  The remix came joint first in the competition and was signed up by the label Crystal Clouds Recordings and was released on 8th December 2007.

With these successes Mat Lock has achieved in his career there is always a massive drive and desire to succeed further and take his name, dj’ing and productions to a worldwide audience and in 2009, after taking time out from the UK and traveling the globe, Mat Lock has unleashed his uplifting trance sound to clubs in countries as far as Australia and New Zealand.
