2009 Mutek 10 Festival Performance Schedules and Ticket Info May 27th -31st

MUTEK_10: THE FESTIVAL GUIDE TO MAIN PERFORMANCES

After what feels like countless months of planning, we’ve arrived: MUTEK_10! And just in time, given that summer weather has finally come to Montreal this past week and looks likely to stay well into next week. Below you’ll find a complete itinerary of all main performances from May 27th to the 31st.

It’s worth noting that it wouldn’t be a proper 10th edition if we didn’t have a few last-minute surprises up our sleeves. We’re happy to announce that we’ve lined up a second stage for Sunday’s MUTEK//PIKNIC 2, and further down this newsletter we reveal who’ll be performing there!

Though the main programming gets underway next Wednesday, festival activities actually begin on Tuesday, May 26th, with the launch of our new EXTRA_MUROS series of public art displays. Beginning at 9pm, we’ll be down in Old Montreal celebrating the launch of works by France’s AntiVJ is a visual label, who will use projection techniques to bring to life the Old Port’s Conveyors’ Tower. This cityscape-altering project and three others will be featured all week, surprising Montreal’s unsuspecting public every night from dusk till 2:30am.

Last but not least, prospective attendees who haven’t yet purchased their passes should note that they’re selling briskly, and that those interested in sharing the MUTEK_10 experience with us should act soon, as we’ll be very close to sold out by the time May 27th rolls around!
