Steve Launches New Dance Charity
This month Steve is launching a very important new charity effort. The Christian Association for Spinners Housing is a new project which looks to raise funds for DJs who (in the current climate) are having a bit of trouble making mortgage repayments on their Ibizan villas. In launching the effort Steve says: “I had a conversation with a well-known DJ recently who mentioned the problem with the place he lives for a couple of weeks over the summer. His plight really touched me and I thought ‘I should do something about that’”. His first charitable endeavour will be a sponsored human canonball firing, which will see the Thrillseeker living up to his name by being shot face-first out of a canon while DJing (NB: (DJing is TBC). If you’re similarly touched by this cause then please make a donation to ‘Christian Association for Spinners Housing’ and if you can’t fit all that on the cheque just make it out to ‘C.A.S.H.’… We thank you.
Lights, Camera, Action: Hollywood Calling… The Thrillseekers!
It seems that the U.S. love for remaking foreign movies has hit a new level with news that Tinseltown has set its sights on that jewel of cinematic DJ-culture, ‘It’s All Gone Pete Tong’. According to reports the film will be re-set in LA with its title being localised to… ‘It’s All Gone Markus Schulz’. There’s been talk that the soundtrack may include Steve’s West Coast opus ‘City of Angels’ and better yet our Thrillseeker-in-Chief is up for a one-line walk-on part! The proposed line, sent by courier last week reads “they always look better in Spandex, don’t they?”. We’re not sure of the context but we’ll see what it all refers to when/if the film is made/released.
Thrillseekers New DJing 1st.
Outer Mongolia? Done. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Nope, that’s been done too (we think). In his Thrillseeking quest to take electronic dance music to the outer limits (or, in this case perhaps, the inner limits), Steve is set to become the first DJ ever to spin underwater! Nearly 20,000 leagues underwater in fact as he’s about to play onboard a submarine. Tickets for the event are strictly limited with the two spare seats (inc. The captain’s) aboard the mini-submersible the HMS Turtlehead set to being auctioned off on eBay. Standby for more info.
Hunter vs. Seeker – Steve To Remix Basshunter?
Steve’s been asked to remix Basshunter’s global chart smash ‘Now You’re Gone’. Yes indeed, the Swinging Swede, reknowned for his classic first album, 1999′s ‘The Old Shit’ & the deeper, more nuanced ‘LOL <(m)>’ has had his eye on an ambient chillout rework of the track from our past master! STOP PRESS: After much late-into-the-night chin-stroking and considered thought we’ve just heard that Steve has turned down the offer. He went on to comment: “I really wouldn’t know what to do with it”.
New Merchandise Line
You love merchandise. We know you love merchandise. You know that we love merchandise. And you know that we know that you know that you love merchandise. Never one to do things by fifths Steve is about to debut a new “outside-the-envelope” range of round-the-house Thrillseekers gear, emblazoned with his face (which has been trademarked so please don’t try to download it). The new selection will include Thrillseekers ironing board covers, crushed velvet throw pillows, wall mounted hard-drive display brackets, nylon-effect leg-warmers and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. All being well, the whole new catalog will be online somewhere soon.
A Word From Steve:
“Hello everyone! It seems like only 3 months ago it was the start of 2009! Yet here we are already, the 1st of APRIL!!!
As I’m sure you’ve guessed by now this is our annual April mess-about, however one of the stories above is actually true! See if you can spot which one. Aside from the aforementioned ‘happenings’ there’s absolutely loads to tell you about so standby for an update very soon with some really real cracking happenings!”
